This recipe is so addictive for the sugar free seekers. It is made many times, therefore improved as we go & of course enjoyed due to the variety of taste buds sensations in one slice! It has nutrition from nuts, natural sweetness from dates, protein and other goodies in chia seeds, and minerals in cacao. This is another Thermomix recipe, however if you can figure out how to blitz dates properly without a Thermomix then well done!! and go for it!! Go on give it a try…
Non Biscuit Base…
- 80g walnuts
- 50g Brazil nuts
- 40g pumpkin seeds
- 30g linseed
- 8 organic dates (or 12 smaller dates)
- 1 dessert spoon maca powderWith just the linseeds 1st, blitz on speed 10 for 2 secs, as they don’t tend to grind fully. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend on sp10 5 secs then turn down to sp5 for 25 secs. Spread evenly and flatten into the base of a pyrex slice dish with the back of a metal spoon.
Guilt Free Fudge…
- 50g chia seeds
- 50g filtered water
- For flavouring, we add 2 drops Young Living* spearmint oil (or Peppermint oil)
Mix on Speed 10, then add… 200g dates, then Blend sp6 1min. Carefully spread ontop of base with damp metal spoons.
- 30g cacao powder
- 20g carob powder
- 20g coconut oil
- 85g water
Blend slowly up to sp4 1min, then spread carefully on the top of the slice & voila! Enjoy biting through the layers during rest time with a nice cup of herbal tea.
