cheeky raw sugar free chocolate balls

Cacao Date Chocolate Balls

This is how I make my cheeky sugar free chocolate balls…

raw sugar free gluten free chocolate carob balls
  • Melt 65g of Organic Cacao butter buttons (available from organic & health stores)
  • Add 1heaped tsp manuka honey
  • 5 pitted organic dates
  • 65g organic cacao powder
  • 1 heaped Tbsp coconut oil
  • For flavouring I add… 1 drops of Peppermint Young Living* Essential Oil

I use my glorious thermomix! melting the cacao button on 55° for approx. 2mins, then adding the rest of ingredients, initially on Speed 6 until dates blitzed, then reduce to speed 3 for approx. 20secs.  This would be easily done on the stove top using a low heat to melt the cacao butter, then add the rest and blitz it with a whizz stick.  Remove from heat then…

Roll into 2cm round balls & keep in the fridge or freezer depending on when they need to be eaten!  Ours didn’t last very long, so storing in the fridge was the way to go.

Another way make these cheeky chocolate balls would be to melt the cacao butter on the stove, and maybe chop your dates (or soak them a little first to make them softer so they are easier to either cut or blitz in blender), then mix it all together.  Option to use raw carob powder or a mixture of both carob and cacao. Enjoy your cheeky chocolate balls!
