Angel Christine’s Protein Balls

In loving Memory…

These protein balls, or bliss balls as Christine (my ice skating coach) would have called them, are dedicated to her beautiful soul.

May she rest in peace, and may all who knew and loved her, be comforted in the embrace of her loving energy, now and always, a true guardian angel.

If you would like to know more about how these balls was birthed on the 1.11.24, following her passing (and another beautiful soul), see angels, create, connect, bead babies and protein balls.  I invite you to enjoy reading my story, and gain some insight from what helped me. Grab a nice cup of tea or water, and settle yourself for a little journey through my eyes and our souls connecting.

Maybe read the story before you make these, or just make them first, then enjoy with your cuppa as you read!

Without further ado… the balls…

Protein Ball Ingredients and ThermomixTM Instructions

These protein balls were made in the ThermomixTM, so I am giving you the exact recipe to get them consistent and wonderfully textured, just how they were created on that memorable day.

You are welcome to have a go with a good blender, however I cannot guarantee being able to totally blitz the sometimes unblitzable dates! I am in love with my ThermomixTM because it does do exactly that.

If you love cooking and baking, I highly rate them, to me it’s like having an assistant in my kitchen, and can save money long term by turning basic raw ingredients… into flour, pastes, butters, mylk, etc, you get the drift!  So here we go…

Grab yourself a 1/3 cup measuring cup or a set of measuring scales, and put the following into the ThermomixTM jug…

  • 200g of activated cashews* (4x heaped 1/3 cup measuring cup full)
  • 200g activated almonds* (4x heaped 1/3 cup measuring cup full)

Then blitz with the lid on, Speed 10 for 1min.

Add in…

  • 210g pitted dates* (approx. 42 pitted dates)
  • 1 heaped tsp organic maca powder
  • 3 heaped tsp sunflower lecithin powder (20g)
  • 6 heaped tsp organic cacao powder (36g)
  • 4 heaped tsp organic carob powder (23g)
  • 4 flat tsp organic coconut oil (23g)
  • 2 drops Young LivingTM Peppermint essential oil*

And blitz it all with the lid onSpeed 7 for 19seconds.

Method For Making Protein Balls…

Carefully spoon out mixture into a bowl for safety, or ensure you don’t hit the blade.

Grab about a golf ball sized amount of the mixture, you may want to wet your hand slightly.  Alternatively, you could always use a dessertspoon and spoon out a huge dollop into your hand from that.

Then gently squeeze, rotate, gently squeeze rotate, continuing until they form a beautiful ball.  I then placed mine into cute pink mini muffin cases to take to the cake stall fundraiser.  However, they can just be placed naked into a glass jar or container (fridge/freezer proof) and stored in the fridge or freezer depending on when you are aiming to eat them, how long you want to store them for, or what temperature you wish to eat them.  They could make a very cool desert if you enjoy chilling your insides!

Gift them, eat them, sell them for charity, enjoy them.

I hope you enjoy our magical creation x

*  For those of you who wish to use the exact ingredients I used, please see the following, and, no… I do not get a commission from Aldi!!  I made around 70 balls (4 batches) out of a 500g bag of Aldi raw cashews and raw almonds (they need to be raw so they can be activated to make them easier on the digestion and reducing the toxic load, click here for my info on how to activate nuts and seeds); Aldi sweet vine pitted dates; Wonder Foods AustraliaTM Sunflower Lecithin; Power SuperfoodsTM cert org Maca Powder; Planet OrganicTM organic Carob powder; Raw Food FactoryTM Organic Cacao powder; Aldi organic coconut butter; Young LivingTM essential oil (beautiful high frequency trustworthy oils that I get wholesale – and I can also show you how to easily get wholesale prices too, which I would get commission from, to support my business and writing this for you all!)
