Simplifying The Healing Process
From my experience with humans and animals, many of us benefit from simple instructions to help us be how we’d like to be.
Be that public speaking, winning a race, passing an exam, or to feel more comfortable in our bodies and minds.
What can happen when we focus on achieving our goals?
Imagine looking down a telescopic lens.
Now really focus.
We can clearly see what is right there in front of us, as everything else going out of focus and disappears into the background.
Let’s relate this to what happens when we pay attention to what we would like or need in life.
Again imagine focusing on it…
…“Mum!!!! I can’t find my book”
…The telephone rings
…You suddenly need the toilet
…I don’t have time for this!
…Thoughts whisper… “you’re not good enough for this”… “you’re stupid”… “you’re not safe enough”… “nobody cares” etc…
Ahhhh something always seems to try and distract us from achieving our goal or just being ourselves.
When these myriad of fears lurking in the foreground, or negative thoughts ready to pounce on us, tumble into distract us, how are we then able to keep focusing on and gain what we wish for?
Why do I keep getting distracted?
For some strange reason, us humans appear to be wired to see things that go wrong or could go wrong.
Our survival response to keep us safe, and prevent us getting hurt.
Is this nurture or nature? Let’s not go down that rabbit hole!
This is about keeping it simple.
Do we need affirmations?
Do you roll your eyes or groan with lengthy affirmations? Wondering how this parrot fashion learning of your lines from someone else, may bring back memories of repeating the times table.
Do you say an affirmation over and over again, only to realise that crankiness is creeping in, or that you feel worse than before you started?
I have found in my experience, that when things are too long, complicated, not particularly personal or completely meaningful, they don’t seem to be able to hit the spot for that “aha” moment.
Then we may wonder… “what’s the point” and give up, going into protection mode and making excuses to begin believing that goal wasn’t for us anyway!
What really works then?
How do I find out why these things keep distracting me?
We become the explorer, the discoverer, the one is interested in our own sense of being.
We maintain that curiosity.
We prioritise getting to know ourselves.
We find our core beliefs.
Why do we need to find core beliefs?
Because of these things that keep distracting us!
When we are tired of all the little things that bug us and really seem to get up our noses!
To get out of deep ruts that we find ourselves in.
To stop these negative things hanging around like an overstaying guest, when you just wanna put on your pjs and snuggle up in peace and quiet.
To help us to achieve what we are meant to, and find comfort in our bodies and mind.
How do we find our core beliefs?
We keep it simple.
We do this together.
When helping to find your core beliefs, I help you firstly to acknowledge what is right in front of you screaming for your attention.
We find a way to calm and soothe the chatter and blocks in the way, to then explore and navigate to our core.
Kinesiology and Integrative Therapy is a powerful way to help put that bright torch in your hand.
When we can empty out and clear our internal clutter, we allow space to welcome in more of what can help to lift us up, and provide clarity to then really live our life.
So saying all of that, it comes back to simplicity.
Here’s An Example…
“Neck, and Drop” Self-Help Example
Huh?
You may well say that. However, this is an example of the simplicity that can be used to help personally centre and continue the self-healing effect after a session.
“Neck, and Drop” can be said every now and again throughout the day with or without an acupressure point with a flower essence, blended Young Living oil, spray, crystal, etc, or simply on its own.
It’s all about using all the senses to process and integrate the new way of being.
For this person, the “Neck” word was meaningful because they had explored the meaning behind it.
They had understood how to release their neck from various techniques, they knew how it feels and what they were aiming for when it is expanded.
We had explored emotions around blockages in their neck, and gained insight into how they would like to be more positively instead.
The word “Drop” was understood to be how to relax and let go of tension in their whole body.
Like a dog, when we ask them to lie down, etc.
So, the end result is simple.
However, it was the investment of understanding and exploring during the sessions, that was the important part.
This was the essential part for her to put her time and effort in to the process.
This enabled her to get the simple and effective long term relief for herself.
This is very empowering, and it does get so much easier the more we do it, believe me!
When discomfort keeps coming back or doesn’t subside, after regular body treatments, this generally shows we are missing something.
Yes, it is lovely having a massage or a treatment, lying down and being fixed.
However, to optimise the chance for longer term relief, it is wise to face and address the emotional/psychological stuff that we may have been avoiding or are not aware of.
I hope this helps to make sense of the more effective, holistic integrative healing process.
Sometimes we need all the information for us to be able to summarise and make things simple.
We need help to find out how we can get out of our own way, for our body to do what it was designed to do, and heal itself.
That is why years and years of studying, emptying out, and practising what I teach, has put me in a great place to be able to help you keep it simple.
We can begin to get to know and understand ourselves. We can…
…Meet and great what is stopping you.
…Comfort your discomfort to release it.
…Empty out stuff you don’t need anymore.
…Find your core beliefs.
…Gain your simplified needs.
…Fill yourself up with your new clarity.
…Walk away with purposeful ways to reinforce and continue your healing process.
I have appointment spaces available at the moment, and I am ready to be your guide.
I look forward to finding your core beliefs, and ways to find long term comfort, enjoyment and purpose in your life. After all, we are all masterpieces, so let’s care for ourselves 😉
For a start, here’s a gentle little process to calm that survival until we can explore the core of the discomfort.
